Mostly been using Fizik over the last few years, but got talking to the Mechanic, basically on the comfort/weight weenie mode. So I bought one of these for the SCOTT.
Bit shocked when it arrived. Great packaging, in fact not only did the packaging look great it weighed far more than the seat. Was shocked though, as I said. the saddle is light bit it did not look like it was going to be comfortable at all. I was thinking of doubling The Mechanics 'fine' for the BBTT Top episode.
Bravely, I placed the saddle on the bike, put it in the shed, before taking it out the next morning for its baptism. Need not have feared. Fantastic ergonomics insure botty compliance at all times.
Here are the specs: • Size - 131mm x 275mm • Weight - 135g • Rails - Carbon • Covering in breathable full-grain leather • Self-modelling padding - Perfect Fit • Shell made from 30% Carbon composite
Thats also 110 grms off the SCOTT as well. Glee club! All for $135 dollars.
Excellent when a spiel gets validated. Things are often too subjective to expect consensus. Now you know why I swear by the SLR. I'm waiting on stock of the straight SLR (not SLR Gel) but as Flow - which means the cut out. its @160gm but I'm keen to try the cut out for comfort. The dimensions otherwise are standard SLR. It's not carbon rails.
