1998 LeMond Tourmalet http://www.bikepedia.com/quickbike/BikeSpecs.aspx?Year=1998&Brand=LeMond&Model=Tourmalet&Type=bike Relieved of all worn parts. Retained handlebars. Ultegra throughout. 2005 Scott S2 http://www.bikepedia.com/QuickBike/BikeSpecs.aspx?ItemID=10357&Type=bike Relieved of all worn parts plus cracked/replaced frame. Retained handlebars. Ultegra throughout. Wheels were 'replaced' 2008. Both fully rebuilt by Dan.
The LeMond is STEEL. Ultegra throughout. The frame was stripped and enamel coated. I am not a subscriber to the fixie craze, although a single geared bike is on the cards for getting to work to reduce the amount of parts needing maintenance. This is likely to be the old Scott frame, built up with the bits i have left over/lying around. The LeMond is comfortable if a little heavy in comparison to alloy and certainly carbon. It was however fully built for less than 1100 of our ever increasing doooollars.
