  2. 30 years ago we constructed a BMX track at end of street with a 20ft dip down a river bank, a real 1 ft birm at the hair pin, table top, a couple of 2 ft juumps, etc. They travelled from Morwell, Moe and surrounds to ride it. kangaroo hopping a log and pulling a mono for half the street elevated you hero status.

We've come a long way since then.

  3. Our best was a downhill run of about 100m into a small open area of about 10m. At the exit to this open area were two enormous trees a couple of metres apart. We would spend some time churning up the open area, even bringing water to make it muddy. then down the hill full pelt, hit the mud, induce a rear slide and through the trees sideways. Then we would go and play 'murderball'. Needless to say, I bought a car...found 'new' ways to try and kill myself!!

  4. We had a five brick jump on the footpath of our court that we were meant to pack away every night but things didn't always quite go to plan...one morning my mum heard screams and came out to find the postie face first in the camelia bush and his crumpled red Honda spinning around on our neighbour's driveway....we packed our jumps up after that!
