Just sit tight if you are looking for new wheels. We have a set of SOL coming in. The guys on Weight Weenies go nuts for them. Around $500.00 set delivered and 200grams lighter. We will try them out in the office (on the road) and let you know. One of us spins, the other mashes so will let you know about flex etc.
I have sold the Ksyriums and will probably sell the open pros. So if you know of anyone with a late 80's early 90's steel bike looking for 28 spoke count and butter smooth dura ace hubs?
Ok. Found web page: http://bikesoul.com/2009/index.phpoption=com_content&view=article&id=25&Itemid=36 but not 1330 the S2 Max seem the only one in that series without the dreaded bent spokes, your turn
These are the ones. Not sure what the forums say about these. The forum above talks about the deeper 4.0. If they don't work out, we will flick them. Just we have read alot about them on weight weenies and those guys are way too much into this stuff. Yes they are bladed. But then not many are not these days. And no we haven't gone the white! (even though I have suggested in previous posts)
Only tried on the mountain bike. Haven't had problems all through winter. I use stans. no problems. Also have it in the tubulars. I think you should give it a go. Just watch where you buy the conversion stuff. If your wheels are already suited, just tape them up with tape, similar to what you do with rim tape to seal the nipples.
In response to the green goo. Only need that to seal if you get a puncture. And if you do, throw in a tube!
How did you go with the tubulars? No nipples in the tyre area so don't need tape, does the goo go off after a few months? The pressures are different between MB and RB though.
Yeah true about the pressures. Going tubless on the mountain means you can run at less pressure which means more grip. So I'm told.
The tubulars are great. I use to get punctures all the time. Havn't had one since riding on the tubulars. They eliminate pinch flats. Also they are lighter then my other wheels. 1710 with tyres.
As it goes there is a review in this months Mountain Bike Australia Mag for various different Sealants. Happy to scan if you want?
Are you guys actually sitting in front of your confusers with your pants around your ankles having a hand crank as you write about this crap...sealants, green goo and pinching nipples...this sounds like a gay porn blog. Bring out the gimp Spanglish!!!
I think I get it now. If you're over weight and have a weenie you can stick green goo over your nipples instead of gaffa tape and this will relieve pressure so you don't have to punch-her in the flat??? And at $500 I'd give the pros away too.
