Who's going around next weekend? Brown dog scored me a free entry with his crew so I'm going full lap anti clockwise, leaving west gate shell servo at 5.30am in total rush adapt-a-lift kit with sea sickness tablets at the ready.
Muppet and I are meant to be doing it with the French connections but have not heard final details. I think the plan was anti clockwise and not sure of start time etc but will get details.
Christ I was thinking 6.30..how about we meet in the middle. The forecast winds are WSW at 30 knots...which should make the Geelong side interesting (get in a group and hide).
Rather than pulling the injury excuse why don't you run with "I just looked at the forecast for sunday and it's really shit, so I'll be relaxing at the pub whilst you idiots all endure the 8 hour continental black chilli enema that ABID promises to be"
I thought i say that after. Didn't want you to be too miserable prior to the start. First I will be going to breakfast, then the pub followed by a movie before getting to the finish to wave you in. All whilst limping....just in case someone at work happens to be there! Scratched the hoods too, don't want the bike any more!! 35K winds on your chops all the way to Gerlong...yuk.

ReplyDeleteMe and Potter are doing it with a NAB group. Anti clockwise also and leaving montague st & west gate freeway around 5.30am.
ReplyDeleteAny plans for tomorrow? Need to do 100km to toughen up my arse.
Will go to Sorrento and back if anyone else is interested. Saturday forecast is a southerly so if that holds for Sunday it will be an easier return.

ReplyDeleteI'm with you Spanglish. I don't trust banks, can't imagine being entered by Brown Dog's crew and have no French connections.
ReplyDelete5:30 sounds good. And will be out this week also.

ReplyDelete6am from racer? The Doc may join us.
ReplyDeleteOut Wednesday. 5:45 racer.
Agreed. 6am Racer. Not sure about tomorrow my hip is still killing me.
ReplyDelete(have you checked your bigpond email?)
The Doc and Jedi will meet us at 6. Rolling turns until the train comes by. Mortar with banana and honey in Sorrento and next train out of town.
ReplyDeleteOnly just caught up on email as we didn't have computer set up. Tops lovely. Can't think of appropriate sponsor - perhaps Johnson&Johnson (bandaids)
Not available for Sunday, the injury persists, the doctor suggests no riding for another week. Which means no food or beer for a week. Joy!
